ChargeOS shows which EV chargers on Indian highways work right now. To do that well we collect a small amount of information. This page says what, why, and how to remove it.
What we collect
- Your account: name, email, mobile number and, if you use Google sign-in, your Google profile name and photo.
- Your preferences: vehicle type, charging speed, language, theme and a trusted SOS contact you choose to add.
- Location: only while you use the map, route or SOS, to show nearby chargers. We do not track you in the background.
- Charger reports: when you report a charger as working or down, we save the report and the place you reported from.
- Wallet: top-up amounts and payment status. UPI payments are handled by our gateway Scan Oye; we never see your UPI PIN or bank details.
- Sign-ups on this website: name, email and mobile when you ask to download the app.
Why we use it
- To run your account and keep your profile and wallet the same on every phone you log in on.
- To show honest, fresh charger status to every driver.
- To contact you about your account, your charging or the app, only if you agreed.
We never sell your data and we do not show third-party ads.
About you (optional questions)
After you sign up, the app may ask a few short questions under About you. Every question is optional, you can pick "Prefer not to say", and you can skip the whole thing.
- What we ask: food habits (diet, what you eat on drives, tea or coffee, food allergies), driving and fatigue (hours driven, trip length, night driving, sleepiness, breaks), health basics (age range, last check-up, eyesight), medical conditions, and lifestyle (smoking, exercise, water, sleep).
- Why: to suggest the right food at our highway cafés through Tably, to show health help near your route through Doctro, and to give you safer-driving tips such as when to take a break.
- Who uses it: ChargeOS and its sister brands Tably and Doctro, run by the same owner. You give one consent for all three; we only save your answers after you tick that box.
- Health answers are sensitive. We treat them with extra care: they are never sold, never used for anyone else's ads, and never shown to other drivers. In the app, only you can read your answers.
- Change or delete: in the app, go to Me → About you to edit any answer, or tap Delete my answers to remove them all and withdraw your consent. You can also email connect@careatic.com from the email on your account.
Who helps us run it
- Supabase stores accounts, profiles and charger data.
- Google handles "Continue with Google" sign-in.
- OpenStreetMap services (OpenFreeMap, Photon, OSRM) draw the map, search places and plan routes; the place you search for is sent to them.
- Google Maps opens when you tap Directions.
Your choices
- Edit your details any time in the app under Me.
- Turn location off in your phone settings; the map still works by searching a place.
- To delete your account and data, email connect@careatic.com from the email on your account. We delete it within 7 days.
